James (Brad) Parker

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Service for James "Brad" Parker, 36, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Chris Currie of First Presbyterian Church, Shreveport, LA. Brad was born September 29, 1981, in Shreveport, LA and passed away September 10, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. Brad was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing on Lake Bistineau with friends. He enjoyed blacksmithing creating beautiful knives and working in his shop made him the happiest. Brad was a big fan of football especially LSU and the Saints. Brad had a love of cooking and was a terrific cook and loved to put on a spread for family and friends. He had fun playing with his two dachshunds, Winnie and Yoda. Brad was preceded in death by his uncles, Danny Moseley and David Moseley, grandparents, Fred Daniel Moseley and Tommie Nell Moseley. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of five years Amanda Parker; parents, Dannell Moseley Thigpen and Bobby Thigpen; siblings, Chelsea Shrell and husband Jacob, Derrick Parker and wife Victoria and Miranda Parker Gross and husband Robert; niece, Gabby Parker; nephews, Brantley Parker and Liam Shrell; cousin, Codie Moseley
