James Walter McLamb

Funeral services honoring the life of James Walter McLamb, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother McKee Williams and Alec Andrade. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, Louisiana. Interment will be held at Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana. James was born on September 20, 1942, in Harnett County, North Carolina to Walter Hubert McLamb and Rosie Peal Barefoot McLamb. He entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving children on June 24, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Preceding him are his parents, Rosie and Walter McLamb; wife of 37 years, Mary Carol McLamb; brother, Stacy McLamb. He is survived by his son, Jamie McLamb of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughters, Holly Russo and husband Corky of Benton, Louisiana, Suszette Horn and husband Rob of Greenwood, Louisiana; sister, Louise Naylor of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Alec, Keaton, Robby, Kylie, Anna Claire, Molly, Mary Chandler, Landry, Emily, Sydney; along with four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Honoring James as pallbearers will be Trey Burford, Porter Burford, Mark Burford, John Chance, Logan Smith, and Robert Wadsworth.
