James Arthur McDonald, Jr.

A Memorial Service for James Arthur McDonald, Jr., 75, will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to the start of the service. Rev. John M. Korlaske of Ellerbe Road Methodist Church will officiate.

James was born November 9, 1950 to parents, James Arthur McDonald, Sr. and Martha Virginia Ray McDonald in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 in Shreveport.

James is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Reed McDonald; and nephew, William James Edward Moore. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Jami Collinsworth and son-in-law, Jason Collinsworth; sister, Sara Steele; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

James will be greatly missed, but we will always love him and cherish his memory forever.
