James Edward McCullough

Funeral services for James Edward McCullough, 84, will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Kendall Holley. James was born on October 30, 1937 to O.W. McCollough and Dorothy Maxine Bufkin McCollough in Natchitoches, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Shreveport. James was a resident of Shreveport and retired from Beaird-Poulan and Frymaster. He was a welder by trade but enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and spending time with his dogs in his leisure time. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. James is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold McCollough, and stepson, Robert Martin. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Faye McCullough; sons, Tommy McCollough and wife, Briana, James Edward McCullough, Jr. and wife, Julie, and Michael McCullough; daughter, Terry McCullough and husband, Fred; and two stepchildren, Leon Martin and Rebecca Powell, 11 grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Carolyn Wood. Honoring James as pallbearers will be his six grandsons, Jeffrey McCollough, Timothy Bates, Trenton Bates, Bradley McCollough, Taylan Brown, and Grayson McCollough. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Willis-Knighton Hospice, especially Monica for all the care, support, love and compassion given to James at his time of need. The family suggests memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation or the Deaf Action Center.
