A funeral service for James Duaine Lindsey, 87, will be held from 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Immediately following the service burial will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery, Mount Zion Cemetery Road, Hall Summit, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tim Dye.
James was born March 10, 1935 in Red River Parish, Louisiana to Walter Dewitt Lindsey and Bealer Smith Lindsey, and passed away on March 27, 2022 in Mooringsport, Louisiana.
James's hobbies included using his skills as a mechanic, playing dominos, watching westerners and listening to old country music. He was a loving father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and was always known as being a jokester. James was an all-around good person and would do anything for anyone. He is going to be missed greatly by all.
James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bertha Bonnette Lindsey; daughter, Melody Lindsey; grandson, Nathan Lindsey. He is survived by his children, Donna Alexander and husband, Clayton, Michael Lindsey, Sr. and wife, Kelli, Annette Humphries and husband, Gary, Paul Lindsey and fiancée, Kathy King; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Honoring James as pallbearers will be Larry "Duke" Little, Gary W. Humphries and Michael Lindsey, Jr.
