James "Jimmy" Leon Davis

Funeral services celebrating the life of Jimmy Davis will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service time. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana.

Jimmy was born May 20, 1948, in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest August 14, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana. He was a shop foreman for Madden Contracting Co for 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Davis, mother, Irene Davis Tomlinson, stepfather, Bill Tomlinson, and step grandchild, Bailey Woods.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Butcher Davis of Minden, son, Thomas Steven Davis of Minden, stepdaughter, Kristi Woods Witt of Minden, stepsons Clint Woods and Shane Woods of Minden, stepsister, Judy Trant of Alabama, nephew, Troy Trant of Alabama, niece, Wendy Trant Green of Alabama, eight step grandchildren and six, step great-grandchildren.
