James Harry Babineaux

Funeral services for James Harry Babineaux, 74, will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Officiating the service will be Brother Shane Deville. James was born on November 26, 1946 in Ruston, Louisiana to Harry Babineaux and Martiel Ola Colvin Babineaux and passed away at home on Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Blanchard, Louisiana. After graduation from Louisiana Tech, James joined his father in the family business, Babineaux Concrete Products through the early 1990's. After a brief employment at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, James retired. James was an avid sports fan with a preference for a love of horses. Through his love of sports, he was able to make many lifelong friends that he cherished. James is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Barbara Fonville Babineaux; daughters, Laura Babineaux Wilson and husband, Brian of Terrell, Texas, Amy Babineaux Wallace of Blanchard, Louisiana; grandchildren, Cameron Benton and wife, Kaytlin and Jacob Wilson; sister, Judith Wells; sister-in-law, Gloria Hines and husband, Tex; brother-in-law, Andy Fonville and wife, Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring James as pallbearers will be Andy Fonville, Brian Wilson, Allison Schaff, Tex Hines, Rusty Lucas, Deven Smith and Chris Wallace. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bennie Reed and John Castore. The family would like to express special thanks to all his family and friends who brought joy to his life.
