James Hartwell Fair, Sr. 93, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on September 1, 2021.
Funeral services honoring his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Old Saline Baptist Church in Saline, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ronnie Osborne, Rev. Jerry Martin with Douglas Madden assisting. Interment will follow the service located at Old Saline Community Cemetery with a Masonic Graveside Service. A visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
James was born on November 8, 1927, in Saline, Louisiana to Tracy Hartwell Fair and Elva Odell Brazzel Fair.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Elva Fair; sisters, Edwina Freeman and Ivazene Toney; step-daughter, Jeanette Manning. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Haddox Fair; sons, James Fair Jr., Tracy Fair and wife Wendy, and Robin Fair and wife Larica; daughter, Dorothy White and husband David; brother, Roy Fair and wife Betty; granddaughters, Jennifer Carpenter and husband John, Shonda Chesshir and husband Jeffery; step son-in-law, John Manning; Along with 19 Great-Grandchildren.
Honoring James as pallbearers will be Grandsons; Jay Fair, Brandon Fair, Trey Towns, Tatum Hubier, Dustin Fair, and Spencer Fair.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons; Nathan Fair, Casey Fair, Grayson Fair, Connor Fair, Mitchell Mathews, Jonathan Fair, John Carpenter.
