James C. (Jimmy) Day, Jr.

SHREVEPORT, LA - James C. "Jimmy" Day, Jr. died suddenly in Shreveport, LA on July 11, 2018 at the age of 62. He was born March 20, 1956 in Vivian, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, James Day and mother Clarice Day. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Susan Day of Shreveport, LA, his sister Judy Lindsey of North Platte, NE, nieces Amy Golter and family of Lincoln, NE and Erin Williams and family of Loveland, CO, and Susan's family. Jimmy was a devoted husband, marked by his marriage to Susan for over 32 years. He was an accomplished musician performing locally, nationally, and internationally. He was an estimator at Seal Craft Manufacturing of Shreveport, LA, where he worked for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his Catahoula, Dallas, his constant companion. The family wishes to thank Jimmy's co-workers at Seal Craft for their trust and encouragement through the years. Also, they wish to thank the many caring friends and neighbors who express their support. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall, Shreveport, 71101. A memorial service officiated by Dr. Tom Harrison will follow at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers: Jared Dickson, Gary Graves, Richard Hurst, Robert Ivey, Mark Tate, Leo Williford.
