James Clyde Austin

MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of James Clyde Austin, 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Tommy McMellon officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Heights Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Mansfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. James was born September 26, 1947, in Mansfield, LA to Clyde and Alice Magness Austin and passed away on August 20, 2018 at his residence. He was an awesome husband, father, and grandfather. James loved to fish and hunt. Preceding James in death were his parents; Infant son; and sisters, Linda Bush and Marie Trotti. Those left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Patty Austin; daughters, Rackshon Campbell, Jammie Lovett and husband Chris; brother, Earnest Austin; six grandchildren, Brittany Lovett, Carley Austin, Layton Lovett, Allison Campbell, Shelby Lovett, Breanna Lovett and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Honoring James as pallbearers will be Danny McMellon Jr., Vagie Lynn "Bubba" Lovett, John David Toney, Kelly Lovett, Ernie Austin, Jr., and Trey Martone. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Bossier, Christopher Lovett, Layton Lovett, and Carter Grissom.
