Jim loved spending time with his daughter, his grandchildren, and his friends. He always made family his first priority, especially his mother. He was a hard-working, artistic, man of many talents. He loved working on his house, photography, fishing, and boating. He was never one to sit still and sought to get as much out of each day as possible. He was a godly man who always had a smile on his face and a desire to help people. He loved getting up every morning and going to work with his life-long friends, Mike Turner, Jules Manson, and Sharon Gomez at Benefit Consultants of North Louisiana. He was well loved and will be missed by so many who loved him.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Clarence Davis and his stepfather, Louis James “Pete” Lacaze.

Jim is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lacaze; daughter, Marja Davis Liner and her husband, Shawn; along with their children, Maggie and Mason. He is also survived by the most incredible friends and neighbors of Glen Cove neighborhood that made the last 10 years of his life so memorable. He loved being your boat Captain.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the staff of the Willis-Knighton Bossier ICU, especially Dr. Trier, Dr. Lambert, Dr. Rodsuwan, Dr. Virani, and nurses, Dale and Sarah.
