A graveside service for Jacqueline Christine Shular, 78, will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana.
Jacqueline was born on July 20, 1947, to Earl “Jack” Franklin and Millis Izola Clukey in Green County, Pennsylvania, and passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Jacqueline, lovingly known as Ms. Chris, devoted many years of her life to serving others in her role as manager at Woodmen of World Insurance. She approached her career with commitment and care, building relationships and earning the respect of those she worked with and served. Outside of her professional life, Jacqueline found joy in creating with her hands. She loved to sew and had a talent for woodworking, taking pride in the pieces she crafted and the time she spent making them.
Her greatest passion, however, was genealogy. Ms. Chris poured her heart into researching family history, preserving stories, and honoring the generations that came before her. She loved her family deeply and held them at the center of everything she did. Known for her spirited nature and the strength she carried through life, Ms. Chris was loved by many and will be remembered with affection, gratitude, and admiration by all who knew her.
Ms. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, “Jack” and Izola Clukey; husband, Victor Eugene; son, Steven Thomas; and brothers, Eric Schultz and Rodney Franklin. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Eugenia Shular; son, Charles Thomas, and wife, Cody; grandchildren, Charles Christopher Thomas II, Stevey Michaela Fusilier, Karlee Jo Thomas, Cade Newman Thomas, and Eric Austin Vega; great-grandchildren, Cash Thomas Fusilier and Layton Lee Thomas; sisters, Kim Thornhill and family, and Karen Schultz.
Honoring Jacqueline as pallbearers will be Charles Thomas, Charles Thomas III, Stevey Michaela Fusilier, Karlee Jo Thomas, and Cade Newman Thomas. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Eric Austin Vega.
