Jack Dee Kent, Jr.

A graveside service for Jack Dee Kent, Jr., 92 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dr. Gevan Spinney.

Jack was born on November 25, 1929, in Corsicana, Texas to Jack Dee Kent, Sr., and Lela Carroll Kent, and passed away on August 19, 2022, in Jefferson, Texas.

Jack was in the United States Air Force for four years and went on to work with the Civil Service and retired from there in January 1985. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Jack loved his family, his home church Union Springs Baptist, where he served as a deacon. He was loved by many and is going to be greatly missed by all.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Weatherly Kent; brother, Gene Kent; and sister, Rita Johnson. He is survived by his son, David Kent and wife, Karen; daughter, Dee Chambers; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
