Jack Wesley Hampton

Jack Wesley Hampton was born June 23, 1930 and passed peacefully at home on November 2, 2022. He was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Jack was a very successful general agent with Allstate Insurance for 40 years. He earned the Allstate Honor Ring designation for many of those years and was awarded opportunities of extensive travel.

He enjoyed time with his sons, always encouraging them to be responsible and successful adults, both professionally and in their personal lives. They can all relate many heartwarming remembrances with him throughout their childhood and adult lives.

Jack was an avid golfer and played tennis throughout the majority of his life. He loved fishing with his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren. Trips to the toy store with the grandkids were a must every time they were together. He always said the grandchildren were to be spoiled and the parents were the responsible parties! He was Gran'pa, Pawpaw, and "Uncle Jacket" and loved all his titles.

Family trips to the beach were the highlights of his summers and endless walks in the sand were his norm. While he would admit to not being an " accomplished sailor," he captained many enjoyable trips along the shores of Panama City Beach, FL.

He was a kind and well-respected man who lived a full and happy life and will be missed so very much, by family and numerous longtime friends.

He would want his family and friends to focus on all the laughs, smiles and fond memories he shared with everyone.

Jack is survived by his wife, Bettye, three sons, Danny (Tamara) of Bedford, TX, David of Doyline, LA., and Jack Jr. (Gena) of Valrico, FL. A granddaughter, Kambria (Bret) Dwyer of Lafayette, LA. Grandsons are Collin of Scottsdale, AZ., John and Wade (Melissa) of Tampa, FL., and two great grandsons, Deklan and Gage of Lafayette, LA.

Memorial plans are incomplete at this time. It was his wish that any memorials be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 1204 Crabapple Dr., Shreveport, LA. 71118.
