A funeral service for Ida Lee Lungren, 93, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Kendall Docter.
Ida was born on July 27, 1932, to Roy Andrew Johnson and Jesse May Byas Johnson in Bossier City, Louisiana, and passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Ida was a lifelong resident of Bossier City and a proud graduate of Bossier High School. She was a longtime member of Barksdale Community Church, where she found fellowship, faith, and friendships that meant so much to her. Ida married Harold A. Lungren, and together they raised three children, building a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family ties.
In her earlier years, Ida worked for Selber Brothers and M. Levy’s before devoting herself to being a homemaker. She had a joyful spirit and a laugh that came easily. Ida was a true person, warm, friendly, and someone who could brighten a room just by being in it. She loved connecting with others, sharing stories, and making those around her feel welcome. Her gentle nature and happy heart will be remembered by all who knew her.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jesse Johnson; her beloved husband, Harold A. Lungren; and son, Roy Empfield. Left to cherish her memory are children, Harold David Lungren, and wife, Teresa and Diane Lee Havard and husband, Mike; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Ida as pallbearers will be Vince Maggio, Jason Hughes, Michael Havard, Chris Degueurce, Jacob Havard, and Harold David Lungren.
