Hulene J. Cohen

Graveside services for Hulene "MeMe" J. Cohen, 89, will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Youngblood Cemetery in Beckville, Texas. She went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

MeMe was born on October 14, 1936 to J.D. Jenkins and Lessie Jane Jenkins in Beckville, Texas and passed away in Lexington, South Carolina.

She attended school in Beckville, Texas, graduating in 1954. In 1961, she married Eppner L. Cohen, and together they built a loving home. She took great pride in being a homemaker and devoted herself to raising their three children.

MeMe found joy in sewing, playing games, and spending time with her family. Her happiest moments were those shared with her grandchildren—and especially her great‑grandchildren—who brought her endless pleasure.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Jenkins and Lessie Jane Jenkins; husband, Eppner L. Cohen; and son, Selden L. Cohen. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Mary J. Brack (Levy); son, Claude "Pete" Cohen (Shelley); grandchildren, Pete Matsko, III, Caleb L. Brack (Brooke), Megan Brack Bruner (Colby), Kendall Burnside (Matt), and Olivia Cohen; great-grandchildren, Blaire Matsko, Eli and Hudson Brack, Callie and Rhett Bruner, and Luna Burnside.

MeMe will be terribly missed, but we will already love her and cherish her memory.
