Hubert was born November 24,1932 in Amarillo, TX to Hubert Henry Johnson and Dollie Lee Cameron Johnson and entered into rest on February 29, 2020. He served honorably in the United States Army. A visitation for Mr. Johnson will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Many Chapel from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from noon to 3:00pm. His funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA with Brother Jimmie Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Noble, LA. Mr. Johnson served several years as a police officer and then went on to work proudly as a school janitor. He was loved by many and loved all of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. Preceding Gene in death were his parents, his daughters, Rose Seals, Georgia Brown, and Shirley Ketchum; his son, Ervin Campbell; his son-in-law, Al Pickard; and his daughter-in-law, Sandy Campbell. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Lera Mora Johnson of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Eileen Parrie of Amarillo, TX, daughter, Letha Tompkins and husband, Jeff of Dallas, TX, daughter, Susan Pickard of Amarillo, TX; son, Earl Parrie of Amarillo, TX; sister, Carolyn Gatlin of Apopka, FL. In addition, he leaves 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as a niece, other family members, and friends. Honoring Hubert as pallbearers will be Ramiro Guillen, Jr., Iriah Whittington, Garrett Ramos, Jeffery Tomkins, Adam Ketchum, Faith Lucero, and Claudia Robles. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Mora.
