Homer Tudor Magill, 81, of DeBerry, Texas passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
A memorial service honoring the life of Homer Tudor Magill will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Open Range Fellowship, 9950 US-80, Greenwood, Louisiana. A visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
Homer was born in Shreveport on July 9, 1938, son of late Richard and Helen Magill. Homer spent his life as a loving father of daughters, Valerie Youngblood and Michele Spears and son, Phillip Magill. He was united in marriage to Shirley Langford November 11, 1960. During his working years, he spent 41 years with Ogilvie Hardware in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He is survived by Shirley Magill, his loving wife of 59 years; son, Phillip Magill and wife, Peggy Magill; two daughters, Valerie Youngblood and husband, Dale Youngblood and Michele Spears and husband, Butch; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard T. Magill and Helen Valerie Magill and his sister, Patricia Lyons.
