A graveside service for Henry Wayne Boyter, 84, will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Father Joe Martina.
Wayne was born on August 11, 1937 in Vivian, Louisiana to Dennis Clayton and Edna Pauline Whitehead Boyter and passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Wayne was a resident of Shreveport and was owner of Bossier Automotive Machine Shop for 31 years. He served in the National Guard for seven years and enjoyed fishing in his leisure time.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lynda Boyter; and sister, Elizabeth Trout. Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Russell Boyter and wife, Heather, and Jeff Darnell; daughters, Darlene Boyter, Jenny Boyter Caster and husband, Matthew; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton and W.E. Boyter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family suggests memorials may be made in Wayne's name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 3500 Fairfield Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71104.
