Henry Newton Moore

Funeral services for Henry Newton Moore, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Michael Hardaway and family members officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at the funeral home. Henry was born November 17, 1927 in Bradley, AR and went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He graduated with a BA in Business from Baptist Christian College. Henry retired from United Gas Pipeline. He was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. He was a member of Sunset Lodge #438, a Past Master of Grand Lodge of LA F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, The Supreme Council of the 33rd degree, El Karubah Shrine, and a Past Patron of the Sunset Order of the Eastern Star. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Harriet Moore; first wife, Marjorie Moore; second wife, Louise Moore; and siblings, Minnie Stevenson, Melvin Moore, Billie Moore, and Birty Fox. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Wanda Hardaway; daughters, Joy "CJ" Thomas and Barbara Lee; grandchildren, Chris Lee, Michael Lee, Rickey Lee, and Kim Lee; several great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. Honoring Henry as pallbearers will be Rickey Lewis, Doug Upperman, Morris Moore, Richard Wyatt, Thayer Pisani, and Chris Lee. Honorary pallbearer will be Rickey Lee. The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Kim Francis, Tammie Jackson, and Crystal Meshell as well as the staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
