Henry Herman Goldsby III, (Guy), of Stonewall, Louisiana went peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021.
Henry was born May 7, 1949 and grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper and afterwards spent his career as a CPA for over 20 years. When Henry retired, he moved back to Stonewall where he enjoyed his family, friends, and dogs for the past 13 years. Henry loved and cared for his family and close friends genuinely and enjoyed showing that in many ways. He was a very generous, thoughtful and giving man. Henry was a deep thinker and had a knack for the "long pause for thought" during a conversation. He was a great storyteller and could talk for hours. He had a laugh that was contagious, unmistakable and filled your heart. He loved his dogs and watching Pat's cows. Henry also truly enjoyed French cuisine, coffee and cheeses, as well as authentic Cajun cuisine.
Henry is predeceased by his father and mother, Henry Herman Goldsby Jr. and Elaine Duke Goldsby, as well as his elder sister, Beverly Elaine Mason.
He is survived by his nephew, Ryan D. Mason and wife, Lina, great-nephew, Tyler and great-niece, Kiera; niece, Lindsay Stuart-Mason Portone and husband, Dan, two great-nephews, Mason and Aiden; niece, Krystin Mason Cameron and husband, Hunter, great-niece, Lylah and great-nephew, Gunner; along with best friends, Pat and Barbie Jones and family.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family and friends.
