Helen Jo McDonald

Graveside services for Helen Jo Culbertson-McDonald, 81, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Keithville Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Randy Harper.

Helen was born April 3, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Floyd and Dorothy Culbertson and passed away on November 3, 2026, in Shreveport.

Helen was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and Northwestern State University. An avid enthusiast of computer games and casino outings, she balanced her personal passions with a deep commitment to her family. Helen was married for 41 devoted years to her husband, Patrick McDonald, with whom she raised a son.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Dorothy Culbertson; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Helen Jeter of Keithville; paternal grandparents, Will and Savannah Culbertson of Minden; and brother, Floyd Arthur Culbertson, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Patrick McDonald, son, Clay Pyles and wife, Melissa; brother, Rusty Culbertson; sister, Dicki Culbertson; grandson, Nathan Pyles and wife, Blakley and Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Rosie.

Honoring Helen as pallbearers will be Terry McDonald, J.J. Powell, Tommy Cuiksa, Jersey Johnson, Josh Tester, and Nathan Pyles.

Helen will be terribly missed, but we will always love and cherish her memory.
