Visitation for Helen Chanler will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana with a graveside to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana with Bro. Andy Wilson officiating.
Helen was born on November 19, 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana and went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2026, in Sibley, Louisiana. She was a member of the City On A Hill Pentecostal Church and she retired from the WPSB as a cafeteria manager. She served on the Sibley Town Council for six years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Laverne Boyd, her husband, Doyle Chanler, her sisters, Verna Chanler and Nora Griffis, and brothers, Ed Boyd, Jr., James Boyd, Reginald Boyd, Charlie Boyd, and Duel Boyd.
She is survived by, son, Ray Chanler and wife Pam, grandchildren, Kristen Nightingale and husband Josh, Stephanie Joslin and husband Wade, and Stephen Chanler and wife Hannah, and great-grandchildren, Caylee, Savannah, Tanner, Liam, Noah, Emma, Maddox, Lynox, chosen granddaughter, Angie Dison, special friend Kathleen Heflin Richardson, and special family Larry, Shelley, Andy , and Cade Redding.
Pallbearers will be Larry Redding, Stephen Chanler, Wade Joslin, Todd Gibson, Shane Thurman, and Garland Tarver.
