Hazel Ivell Davis

We are sad to announce the passing of a sweet, kind, generous and God-fearing mother, Hazel Ivell Davis. Hazel was born on August 23, 1927, and resided in Shreveport, Louisiana where she passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family, due to complications of dementia. She was the surviving wife of her loving husband of 81 years.

Hazel had many accomplishments throughout her life and was one who loved people and never met a stranger. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say about others. Her hobbies included being around her family and gardening. When it came to a beautiful flowerbed, Hazel had a green thumb and all the answers on how to keep it beautiful.

She is survived by her sons, Larry and Wayne Davis, who will dearly miss her, as well as her grandchildren and their spouses. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Davis and son, Kenny Davis.

A graveside service honoring the life of Hazel will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 located at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109.
