Haywood Williamson

A graveside service for Haywood Williamson, 81, will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Brett of the First Baptist Church of Vivian, Louisiana. Haywood was born on September 22, 1940 in Evergreen, Alabama to William "Bill" Williamson and Lucille Williamson and passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Haughton, Louisiana. Haywood was a resident of Hosston, Louisiana and worked for the City of Shreveport as a Traffic Engineer before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing. He loved his family and friends so much and enjoyed hanging out with them at every given opportunity. He loved to make his family and friends happy, and he totally accomplished his mission. Haywood is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Sid Williamson, Lucille Burkett and Roy Williamson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Williamson; sons, Chuck Williamson and wife, Robin, Lee Williamson and girlfriend, Patrice Brown and her daughter and son, Cassie Lockwood and Christopher Brown; grandchildren, Rachel and Catie Williamson and Colton and Jessica Paige Williamson; great-grandchildren, Raini Kay Allen, Stormi Alese Allen and Hayden Lee Williamson; and other extended family members and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to the Louisiana Hospice, particularly Jackie Bollton, for the excellent care, compassion and love given to Haywood during his illness.
