Hattie H. Newman

Graveside services for Hattie H. Newman will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Jerry Newman. Hattie was born May 5, 1932, in Doyline, Louisiana and entered into rest December 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. Hattie was the best wife, mother, Nanny, and aunt to her family, a true angel on earth. Preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Athleen Harvill; husband of 45 years, Jimmie Newman; sons, Keith Newman and Tim Morgan; sisters, Leona Brummett and Katherine Wiggins; brothers, Jack Harvill, A.J. Harvill, Ronald Harvill, Thomas Harvill and Jerry Harvill. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Mangrum of Sibley, Patsy Gulett of Haughton; son, Herman Glenn Morgan of Minden; sisters, Judy Giddings of Doyline and Jessie Fittge of Houston, TX and a special sister-in-law Carol Harvill Jenkins; grandchildren, Sara Ruybal and husband Jesse, Todd Triplet and wife Annette, Glenda Sands, Trudy Morgan, Peggy Morgan, Phillip Gulett, and Tim Morgan, Jr. and 4 great grandchildren with one on the way, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was known for her loving tender caring ways and her famous biscuits. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
