Hattie Irene Langford Dixon

Hattie Irene Langford Dixon, 88, passed heavenly home on March 1, 2026. Born on October 31, 1937, Mrs. Dixon lived a life devoted to faith, family and love. She was a woman of quiet strength, gentle kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she cherished. Our matriarch has passed her life for us to carry on.

Her greatest joy was her family. She created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and compassion. She will be remembered for her loving heart, steady guidance, and the grace with which she lived each day.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Patrick Dixon Sr.; her father, Howard Langford; her mother, Mattie Bell Panquin; her son, Timothy Dixon; her brother, Chester Langford; daughter-in-law, Ann Dixon; and her granddaughter, Carly Dixon.

She is survived by her children, Joe Dixon Jr., Mary France (Todd), John Dixon (Aline), and Alison Vanderboom (Pete); her sisters and brother; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love will continue through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be Paul Navarre. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Josh Dixon, Todd France Jr., Jason Price, Treyton Butler, and Christopher Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Grayson Smith and Hunter Dixon.

Mrs. Dixon’s life was a testament to enduring love and steadfast faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
