Harold B. English

Mr. Harold Bryan English, 98, of Keithville, LA, was called home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2026, in Shreveport. He was born on October 20, 1927, in Gloster, LA, to Clara and Bryan English.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Southside, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Kevin Arinder of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA.

Mr. English proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. He stood Honor Guard for General Douglas MacArthur. After the war, he married Frances Taylor, and together they were happily married for 78 years, a milestone he was very proud of. Harold was a long-time member of Liberty Baptist Church of Shreveport.

Harold worked as an auto mechanic for over 40 years, then transitioned to a truck driver for several more years before retiring. He and Frances loved traveling across the United States in their camper and attending bluegrass festivals. Above all, he loved and was immensely proud of his large family.

Mr. English was preceded in death by his son, Winfred Harold English; his parents; his brother, John Curtis English; and three sisters, Jean English Adkerson, Mildred English Fisher, and Doris English Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances English; his children, Carolyn English Reed and husband, Mark, Jerry W. English and wife, Frances, and Grace English Pickett; daughter-in-law, Peggy English; six grandchildren, Melissa Reed Harmonson, Stephanie Reed Beams, Kevin English, Ryan Pickett, Marcus Reed, and Kristen English; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Honoring Mr. English as pallbearers will be Kevin English, Marcus Reed, David Harmonson, Mark Reed, Lawson Beams, and Jason Beams. Honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Pickett.
