Memorial Services to celebrate the life of Harold T. Curley, Jr., 84, will be held at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 7738 Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City, Louisiana at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020. Monsignor Earl Provenza, Deacon Michael Straub of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Dr. Randy Harper, Pastor of Bellaire Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 9 a.m. until service begins. Harold was born on December 8, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by his family. Upon graduation from High School he served for four years in the United States Air Force before beginning a long career in accounting and tax preparation. After moving to Bossier City, Harold enjoyed working for twenty-eight years with Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company and eleven years with Rose-Neath Funeral Homes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold T. Curley, Sr. and Agnes M. Curley; his sister, Marie Sheppard and his daughter-in-law, Donna Curley. Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette Curley; his sons, Hal and Jason Curley, all of Bossier City, Louisiana. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephen (Kayla) Curley, Christopher Curley (Ashley Liles), and Jordan Curley; as well as his great-grandchildren, Eli and Ariel Curley and numerous nephews and nieces. In keeping with Mr. Curley's wishes his body was donated to the LSU Health Sciences School of Medicine. At a future date his cremated remains will be buried at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church or the Bellaire Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry, 4330 Panther Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana, 71112.
