Harold G. Carter

A graveside service for Harold G. Carter, 95, will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery, 601 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Harold was born on October 31, 1925, to W.T. Carter and Ruth Dale McMakin Carter in Bossier City, Louisiana, and passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Harold G. Carter, a man whose life was filled with melody, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and song. Harold’s passion for music was the heartbeat of his existence, and he could often be found singing his favorite tunes, bringing joy to all who heard him.

Known for his warm spirit and infectious smile, Harold shared his gift of song with friends, family, and everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His devotion to music was matched only by his love for those around him, creating cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of many.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Pauline Allen, Josephine Landa, Geraldine, and Doris Ann Young. He is survived by his loving wife, whom he married on July 29, 1950, Lorene Baker Carter; son, Thomas Wayne Carter; daughter, Gayle L. Carter; three granddaughters, Beverly, Jennifer, and Pamela Ashby; 11 great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Prine, Keith Robertson, and James Reynolds.
