Harold Barker

Funeral services for Harold Eugene Barker, 90, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral, 2201 Airline Dr. Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Brown. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Old Town Cemetery, Intersection of LA-534 and, Triplet Rd, Haynesville, Louisiana. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Tensley. Harold was born November 7, 1931 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Spencer Barker and Alice McCracken Barker. He passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Harold attended Haynesville High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, love of his life and bride of 55 years, Peggy Rushing Barker. He worked for Marathon Oil Company. Until he decided to go into the car dealership business in 1965. A career he loved until he retired. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Rushing Barker; son, Dennis Wayne Barker and granddaughter, Allison Hall. He is survived by his son, Randy G. Barker and wife, Marby; daughter, Kim D. Horton and husband, Cliff; daughter-in-law, Kathy J. Barker; grandchildren, Lindsey Byerly and husband, Ritchie, Amanda McCoy and husband, Henry, Holly Hoffman and husband, Chad, Robby Valentine and wife, Shanna, Bryce Horton and Chase Horton; and nine great-grandchildren. Honoring Harold as pallbearers will be Denny Hall, Trace Hall, Chad Hoffmann, Bryce Horton, Chase Horton and Robby Valentine.
