HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Hardy A. Louviere, 82, at the St. Margaret Catholic Church in Homer on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Mark Franklin and Rev. Brian Thurman, officiating. Interment followed at Arlington Cemetery in Homer. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5th St, Homer on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Louviere was born Dec. 17, 1931 in Charington, LA and he passed away on Tuesday, May 6th in Ruston following a short illness. A graduate of USL, he was retired Parish Administrator with the Louisiana Department of Social Services. He was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
Mr. Louviere was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anne Kirk Louviere of Homer; son, Paul J. Louviere and wife, Oana-Maria of Stowe, Vermont; 3 step-sons, Steve Blackwelder and wife, Suzy of Ruston, LA, Mike Blackwelder and wife Lynn of Homer and Pat Blackwelder and wife Suzanne of Homer; 9 grandchildren, Amanda Dinsmor and husband, Ian, Kent Blackwelder and wife, Lindsay, Kirk Blackwelder and wife, Elizabeth, Laura Roberson and husband, Ryan, Jessica Pilger and husband, Paul, Karli McLean and husband, Pat, Julia Roberts, Peyton Blackwelder and Ashton Blackwelder; 7 great-grandchildren, Drew, Olivia and Tatum Blackwelder, Jack Dinsmor, Victoria Blackwelder, and Mason and Autumn Pilger; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steve, Mike, Pat, Kent and Kirk Blackwelder and George Tigner.
