Hans Harders

Memorial Service for Hans Ebbe Harders, 87, will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Tom Harrison, Dr. Larry Williams, and Dr. John Sullivan.

Hans peacefully passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana surrounded by his wife and daughters. He will be missed more than we can express but we know we have an angel looking down upon us.

Hans was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was married to his loving wife, Karen, for 59 years, and together they raised two daughters. Hans served his country in the army and worked for SWEPCO for 42 years as an engineer. Hans loved to spend time in his yard; especially in his garden with Karen by his side. Hans was very talented and could do anything that he put his mind to. Hans loved his girls; Karen, Kim and Carol. PaPa, to his grandchildren, loved spending time with the grandchildren watching them grow into young adults. Later in life you could find Hans on his tractor, in the garden or working in his wood shop.

Hans was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Karl Harders and Susan Davignon Harders and his sister, Alice Bernard. He is survived by his wife, Karen Smith Harders; daughters, Kim Harders Robertson, and Carol Harders Beadles and husband, Boyd and grandchildren, Chase Robertson, Taylor Robertson, Claire Corvers, and Kayla Robertson.

The family would like to express thanks to the staff at The Glen Retirement and LifePath Hospice for all their support and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71103.
