Grady Jean LaFitte, III

A graveside inurnment for Grady Jean LaFitte, III will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111. Grady was born August 2, 1977 in Bossier City, LA and passed away in Bossier city, LA on June 21, 2019. He worked in the construction industry. Grady was a kind-hearted man who loved life and certainly had fun while living life to the fullest. He could usually be found in a pool hall or at a poker table where he not only had talent but also a smile on his face. Grady rarely met a stranger and made countless life-long, loyal, and loving friends. He always had a way of drawing smiles and laughter from anyone; he could brighten anyone's day and he filled the hearts of the people he met with laughter. He was strong, fierce, and especially protective when it pertained to his family. He was also fiercely insistent that he was taller than his younger sister and equated his mother's foot size to that of a toddler. Grady was one-of-a-kind in almost every way and he will truly be missed by all who had the joy of knowing him, and to know Grady, was to love Grady. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Jean LaFitte, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Jane and Tom Burger and paternal grandparents, Grady, Sr. and Maggie LaFitte. Grady is survived by his mother, Barbara LaFitte VanHoughton and husband, Charles; son, Dallas Michael LaFitte and fiancée, Hannah Johnson; sister, Sharon LaFitte Griffin and husband, Jonathan; nephews, Noah LaFitte and Reid Griffin; nieces, Molly Griffin and Emma Griffin; fiancée, Eugenia \"Jeannie\" Mitchell; as well as former wife, Misty LaFitte; stepdaughters, Chloe and Hailey Lyman. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as friends who were considered family. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate if you would please consider making a donation to help with funeral expenses. Thank you.
