Gracie Mae Withers Pugh

Funeral services for Gracie Mae Withers Pugh, 88, will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 5187 Hwy. 3276, Stonewall, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Stonewall Cemetery in Stonewall. A visitation will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Hawkins.

Gracie was born on December 25, 1936, in Robeline, Louisiana to Truly and Evie Withers and passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at home in Stonewall.

Gracie married her husband, George Pugh, in 1953 and they had three sons that were the light of their lives. George and Gracie were married for 72 wonderful years.

Gracie is preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve Pugh; brothers, Benny Ray Withers and Wayman Voyt Withers; and sister, Norma Lee Withers. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George Pugh; sons, Jerry Pugh (Cammie), and Jeff Pugh (Pamela); brother, Allen Withers; sister, Marie Ward; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Honoring Gracie as pallbearers will be P. Lawson Kinard, II, Brandon Gross, Joe Duke, Kevin Withers, and Terry Strahan.
