Keithville, LA- Gloria A. Wood, age 84, passed to her eternal home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, due to congestive heart failure.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Rose-Neath Coushatta. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Burial taking place at Zion Baptist Cemetery in Fairview Alpha, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Aaron of Open Range Fellowship.
Gloria Ann Wood was born on March 16, 1942, in Shreveport, LA to Alfred Leo and Clara Walker Galardi and resided in Keithville, LA most of her life.
Gloria worked in finance business most of her life. After retiring from the workplace, she worked as a volunteer sitter at local nursing homes helping the elderly. She enjoyed cooking, reading, spending time with family, helping and caring for others, along with watching LSU, Dallas Cowboys, and New Orleans Saints football.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law Randy and Susie Wood of Keithville, LA and Ricky and Ambere Wood of Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Wood has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Wood, and her grandson Christopher Wood.
Honoring Gloria as pallbearers will be Dusty Wood, Jackson Wood, Conner Hermes, Lynn Beatty, Albert Moore, and Kevin Ward.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mike Walker, James Childers, Clinton Wood, Eddie Dinkins, Brooks Baker, Gary Bass, and Danny Gilcrease.
The family would like to extend special thanks to management and staff at Azalea Estates Senior Living and Point of Grace Medical Services. And a special thanks to St Joseph’s Hospice Nurse Renee Sugg.
