Gloria Woodard Richardson

Funeral services will be held for Gloria Richardson, age 86, at 10 a.m., on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Alabama Baptist Church. Bro. Steven Beard, Bro. Don Woodard and Bro. Reginald Colvin will officiate. The interment will follow at Alabama Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Gloria was born May 16, 1931, in Simsboro to Albert and Rachel Tawwaters Woodard. She entered into rest on December 8, 2017, in Ruston. Gloria was a member of Alabama Baptist Church. She loved collecting what-nots and loved to sew and embroidery. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Ollie Richardson, parents Albert and Rachel Woodard, siblings R.C. Woodard, Eleanor Beers, and Annie Murial Colvin. She is survived by her children Darrell Richardson and wife Lisa, Delores Pullig and husband Wade, Rhonda Salazar and husband Ronnie, and Dana Roy and husband Rob, sister Lucille Shelton, sister-in-law Katy Woodard, brother-in-law Thomas Colvin, grandchildren Season Brown and husband BJ, Deanna Graham and husband Jason, and Darron Pullig and wife Leslie, great grandchildren, Aidan Lay, Micheal Brown, Colt Graham, Lillian Brown and Luke Graham, by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and by her loving dog Remington, and her wild blue jay, Blue. Pallbearers will be Darron Pullig, Jason Graham, Glen Woodard, Bill Woods, Rodney Colvin, and Marvin Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Woodard, Ronnie Harper, Reginald Colvin, Roger N. Colvin and Paul Richardson. The family would like to thank Northern Louisiana Medical ICU and Med Surge for the care of Gloria, and to Lisa Malinak and Judy Fox for going above and beyond with love and care for not only their mother, but the family as well.
