Gloria B. Kemp

Shreveport, LA - A memorial service for Gloria B. Kemp will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Miramontz. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Gloria was born October 5, 1951 in Monroe to James Oscar Boyd and Imogene Osborne Boyd. She passed away September 7, 2018 in Shreveport. Gloria retired with over 40 years of service as a telephone operator and CWA member, and gained many special friendships in that time. Gloria was kind, fun, loving and had many other friends with special relationships, especially with Jeffrey and Jennifer Bryan and Katherine Hay Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gloria is survived by her children, Stephen J. Kemp, II and wife, Staci of Shreveport, Jessica L. Cartwright and husband, Kurt of Shreveport, Robert W. Kemp and wife, Natasha of Bossier City; sisters, Eve Nelson and husband, Jim of Eros, Janis Joy of Tyler; grandchildren, Rachel, Mason, Judy, Skylar, Nate and Trip and many loving nieces and nephews.
