Glenda Lee Dyer Avery

Graveside services for Glenda Lee Dyer Avery, age 78 of Vivian, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Smyrna Cemetery in Atlanta, TX with Pastor Spencer Marshall officiating.

Mrs. Avery was born in Belcher, Louisiana on May 5, 1945 to Laymond Arnold Dyer and Addie Lee Parker Dyer and passed away on October 25, 2023 at North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian, LA. She was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Vivian, Louisiana. Mrs. Avery was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her time to raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Avery is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Landrum Avery and brother, Charles Edward Dyer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bradley A. Avery and Rodney Landrum Avery; brother, Carlton Dyer and wife, Linda; grandson, Cade Adam Roddy and wife, Brittany; great grandchildren, Jax Roddy, Iver Roddy and Dallie Houston; nephew, Todd Dyer; niece, Melodie Profit; great nieces, Sierra Dyer and Cheyenne Dyer Clark and great-great niece, Rosalie Dyer Clark.
