HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mr. Glen Wesley Mason,78, at First Presbyterian Church of Homer, LA, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA. The family received friends at the church from 1-2 P.M.Glen was born July 11, 1941, in El Dorado, AR, to James B. and Bessie Henderson Mason. He entered into rest on Monday, July 15, 2019, in Homer, LA. Glen was a truck driver all his life working for different companies, but retired with Peterson Contractors. He loved to garden and grew vegetables to feed his family. Glen had a special bond with his grandkids and tried to teach them to "keep the door shut" and "don't hang on the bar." He was a family man who adored is wife Phranalia, and all five of his kids.Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his parents and brother, J.T. Mason.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phranalia Wolfe Mason; four daughters all of Homer, Manon Allen and husband Tony, Kalia Holland, Tisha Featherston and husband Jimmy, and Patty Smith and husband Kevin; a son, Wesley Bryan Mason and wife Heather of Magnolia, AR; a sister, Betty Rae Kinard of Little Rock, AR; a brother, Billy Neal Mason of Shreveport, LA; twenty grandchildren, Krystal Baugh and husband Eric, Paul Barnette, Jr., and wife Jessica, Billy King, Jr., and wife Caitlin, Breawna Pennington, Chloe Mason, Joslyn Mason, Harley Mason, Tara Allen, Savannah Allen, Seth Greene, Craig Greene and wife Nikki, Ethan Ellis and wife Lauren, Phranalia Lianne Beach and husband Ryan, Kevin Smith, Jr., Britian Smith, Brent Smith and wife Tabitha, Brett Smith, Wesla Dees, Callie Smith, and Hadlie Smith; seventeen great-grandchildren, Olivia Greene, Cooper Greene, Rowen Greene, Clementine Greene, Ruby Greene, Victoria Ellis, Leah Ellis, Addison Ellis, Erica Ellis, Ryder Beach, Parker Beach, Isabelle Foust, Adam Foust, Jolie Smith, Lorelei Smith, Zane Smith, and Aubrey Lonadier: along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Pallbearers were Seth Greene, Craig Greene, Ethan Ellis, Paul Barnette, Jr., Brent Smith, Brett Smith, Matt Brazzel, and Ryan Beach.In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Mason, his family suggests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 297, Homer, LA.
