Gilda Sanford Nunn

Funeral Services for Gilda Sanford Nunn, 93, will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Officiating the service will be Caleb Lytle. Gilda was born March 14, 1928 in Athens, Louisiana to David Lonzie Anglin and Bertha Gertrude Anglin and passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. Gilda was a faithful member of Waller Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and working in the nursery. She was a stay-at-home mother until her youngest child entered junior high. She then started her career at LSU Medical Center, retiring after 15 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Lloyd Sanford; son, Leslie Sanford; sisters, Katie Chandler, Christelle Wood, Leona Pate, Mary Godwin and brothers, Jewel Anglin and Bill Anglin. She is survived by her husband, Malery Nunn; daughter, Donna Sanford Felt; sons, Hoyt Sanford and wife, Charlene, Larry Sanford and wife, Judy and Paul Sanford and stepsons, Mike Nunn and wife, Tori and Randy Nunn and wife, Avery. Honoring Gilda as pallbearers will be Skylar Sanford, David Sanford, Josh Knowles, Mike Sanford, Robbie Felt and Heath Sanford. Some women do noble things, but you surpass them all.
