Funeral services for Gerald W. Simpson will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Tim Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Gerald was born March 13, 1950 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest January 18, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Simpson and sister, Donna.
He is survived by his wife Debra Simpson of Minden, mother, Nelwyn Simpson of Minden, son, Brad Simpson (Lindsay) and their children, Jacob Powell (Deanje), Brooke, Kaylee, Cullen and Conly Simpson, son, Kevin Simpson (Charity)and their children, Lydia Hicks, Dylan and Darren Simpson all of Minden, sisters, Patsy Jernigan (Freddy) of Minden, Linda Holland (Rich) of Minden, Kathy Jacobs (Dwight) of Minden, and Wanda Ouilette of Oklahoma, and brother, Gary Simpson of Arcadia.
