Georgia Raney

Georgia Walton Raney, 85, of Shreveport, LA passed away on August 30, 2018, from a sudden illness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA 71118. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108. Officiating the service will be Pastor Michael Stowell of First Baptist Church in Keithville, LA. Pallbearers will be Rusty Tullis, Randy Tullis, Robert Tullis, Jonathan Marr, Shon Brocato, and Joseph Dayton Brocato. Georgia was born February 11, 1933, in Keithville, LA. She retired from South Central Bell on May 2, 1976. She is survived by her sister, Barbara W. Tullis; son, William D. Raney; grandchildren, Ashley Raney, Shelley Raney, Karley Raney, and Kelley Raney; great grandchildren, Dayton Brocato, Alyssa and Kyndell Cordell, Jaxton Marr, Haleigh and Colton Robinson, Collin Horn, Kayden Rushing, and Michael and Journee Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" G. Raney; father, Hiram Walton; mother, Bessie Walton; three brothers, Paul, Thomas, and Ed Walton; and two sisters, Edna Wright and Bessie Mae Miller.
