A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgia Ann Piro, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick Street, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the rosary. A rosary will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. The Celebrant will be Father Fidel Mondragon.
Georgia was born February 27, 1942, in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Salvatore Piro, Jr. and Susie DeFatta Piro and passed away on July 28, 2022.
Georgia was a very accomplished woman who graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy and attended Centenary College of Louisiana. She was employed for several years by the Shreveport Journal. Georgia was a loving sister, aunt, and great-aunt who is going to be deeply missed by all.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Robichaux and husband, Gerry, Debbie Causey and husband, Rusty, Bernie Piro and wife, Sara; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews.
Honoring Georgia as pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Craig Causey, Brandon Mitchell, Nicholas Piro, Joey Robichaux, and Joe Wood. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Causey, Travis Harrell, Mike Mitchell, Bernie Piro, Gerry Robichaux, and Colby Whittington.
