George Stanley Lomzenski, 74, passed away January 16, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Cleve Cyrus will officiate the service.
Stanley was born on December 19, 1946 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Bill and Silva Adams Galloway. Stanley graduated in 1964 from Bogalusa High School. After high school he went to South Eastern University in Hammonds, Louisiana and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1969. He met the love of his life, Betty, in 1980, and they danced their way to the alter on January 2, 1982.
Stanley was an avid hunter and loved outdoor life to the fullest. He loved to hit the mud with his four-wheeler and was the life of any party he attended.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Lomzenski; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John B. and Carrie Mae Cunningham; and brothers-in-law, Gordon "Bud" Cunningham and wife, Nikki, Earl Lynn "Scoots" Cunningham, James Bruce Cunningham and Frank Holbrook. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Cunningham Lomzenski; son, Kelly Lomzenski; daughter, Misty Oliver and husband, Jake, who was like a son to Stanley; grand-children, Jacey Comeaux and husband, Zack, Drake Williams, Lil Jake Oliver, and Jack Oliver; sisters-in-law, Theresa Wascom and husband, Mack, and Linda Holbrook; nephew/son Jake Cunningham and his daughter, Kodie; nephews ,Blake Cunningham, and wife, Alexis, John Lomzenski, Sonny Cunningham, and Christopher Cunningham; nieces, Amy Wade and husband, Allan, Traci Magee and husband, Cody, Melissa Conway and husband, Matt, Holli Vining and husband, Tim, Mandy Foy and husband, A.J. Jr., Chelsea Crawford and Stephanie Cunningham; great-nieces and nephews, Garrett Conway and wife, Elizabeth, Lindsay and Austin Foy, Carmen, Caden, Scarlett, Chase and Corbin Cunningham.
