George W. Cates

A graveside service celebrating the life of George W. Cates, 87, of Mansfield, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ronnie Osborne.

George was born September 10, 1937 in Tyler, Texas and entered into rest on Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Mansfield, Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy.

George is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Neoma Cates; his mother, Verna Getts; and his father, George W. Cates, Sr. Left to cherish his memory is his special family Sissy Vickers, Justin Williams, Logan Williams, Destiny Ward, Maisie Ward, and Major Ward.
