George Baron Ambrose

A graveside service for George Baron Ambrose, 63, will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Associate Pastor Max Ray Ambrose, Jr. George was born on July 17, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Max Ray Ambrose, Sr. and Vernice Mahailia Grice Ambrose and passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 in Carrollton, Texas. George was a resident of Garland and worked in construction. He loved to do woodworking and especially enjoyed building cabinets. He played guitar and loved to sing. He played the guitar for his church in Irving, Texas. George and his brother, Terry, sponsored an orphanage in Uganda. It was a cause very near and dear to George and Terry's hearts. He had a great personality and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kristopher Ambrose and Nicole Ambrose; siblings, Max Ray Ambrose, Jr. and wife, Nancy, Martha Wilcoxen and husband, Gerald, Robert Ambrose, Terry Ambrose, Patrick Ambrose and wife, Dianne; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to his brother, Terry Ambrose, for all the love and care given to George during his illness. Also they want to thank Vitas/Carrollton Medical Center for all the care and support provided to George.
