Geneva Ann Whitten

Funeral services for Geneva Ann Whitten will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Melba Rodgers officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Chreene Cemetery in Stanley, LA. Geneva was born on February 22, 1942 in Haslam, Texas to Larry L. Parker and Geneva Lorene Rich Parker. She entered into rest on September 11, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years John R. Whitten, and her brothers Clifton Parker, J.W. Parker and Jimmy Parker. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald Joe Whitten & wife Janice of Stanley, LA and Stephen D. Whitten & wife Marlene of Stanley, LA; sisters, Helen Johnson of Houston, TX, Nettie Swindell of Nacogdoches, TX, Mary Swan & husband Wayne of Joaquin, TX, Linda Bell Parker of Joaquin, TX and Vicki Spradley of Joaquin, TX; grandchildren, Shasta King & husband Shea, Colt Whitten & wife Trisha, Jake Whitten, Matt Whitten & Kaitlyn Freeman, and Zach Whitten & Valerie Brown; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Colin, Ainsley, Logan, Levi, Lydia, Sawyer and Laylah and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring Mrs. Whitten as pallbearers will be Colt Whitten, Jake Whitten, Matt Whitten, Zach Whitten, Shea King, Randy Allen and Ronnie Allen. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Cordova.
