Gene "Jim" Guillotte

LOGANSPORT, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Gene "Jim" Guillotte, 81, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Bethel United Methodist Church in Logansport, LA with Rev. Nancy Woffard and Charles Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Bethel Community, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Jim was born December 18, 1936 in Goliad, TX to Daniel and Lola Mae Ramsey Guillotte and entered into rest on November 4, 2018, in Logansport, LA. Preceding Jim in death were his parents; sisters, Jane Bass, Talma Arbuckle; brother, Lewis Guillotte; nieces, Kathy Guillotte Houston, LaJuana Arbuckle Smith, Wendy Guillotte; and nephew, Ronny Lafitte. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Jere' Guillotte; son, Robert Guillotte; daughter, Jennifer Wheless and husband JC; sisters, Marie Lafitte and husband Berle, Dorothy Lafitte and husband Louis; brothers, Douglas Guillotte and wife Martha Jean, Jack Guillotte and wife Betty; grandsons, Ace Wheless, Cash Wheless; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring Jim as pallbearers will be Chance David, Kenny Guillotte, Joe Lafitte, Donny Lafitte, Ricky Arbuckle, Rick Wing, Jimmy Arbuckle and Brad Arbuckle. Honorary pallbearers will be his friend Harold Scott, grandsons, Ace and Cash Wheless and all the other nephews and great- nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Youth Group.
