Gene Craft Correll

A graveside service honoring the life of Gene Craft Correll will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2023 in Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be her grandson, Reverend Chad Brooks.

Gene Craft Correll was born January 5, 1929 in Mize, Mississippi to Fred B. and Lydia Jones Craft and passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Gene was an accomplished seamstress and had a passion for all things related to sewing and needlework. She was a woman of refined taste who enjoyed interior decorating and was an excellent cook.  Most of all, Gene was a great wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved, cared for, and touched the lives of her family and countless others. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Edward K. Correll, Sr.; parents; and 7 siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jan Correll Thornell of Hot Springs, AR, Debbie Correll Simpson, of Shreveport, LA, and Genie Correll Richie of North Little Rock, AR; son, Eddie K. Correll of Shreveport, LA; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
